Integration with Ipswitch's WhatsUp Gold

How do I integrate Scrutinizer NetFlow Analyzer v6 with WhatsUp Gold v11?

Below is another way the two products can integrate.

1. Download the scrutinizer-wug11.zip file.

2. Extract Public.inc to \Program Files\Ipswitch\WhatsUp Professional\HTML\NmConsole\CoreNm\Tools\.

3. Extract _WrDeviceDetails.inc to \Program Files\Ipswitch\WhatsUpProfessional\HTML\
NmConsole\Reports\Workspace\Device\General\WrDeviceDetails\.

4. Extract denika.gif and scrutinizer-top.gif to \Program Files\Ipswitch\WhatsUpProfessional\
HTML\NmConsole\NmConsole\CoreNm\Tools\images\.

5. Open the Public.inc file in a text editor and adjust the links for TOOL_DENIKA and TOOL_SCRUTINIZER (don't for get any specific port numbers and credentials for the Scrutinizer link).

Users without the Denika Performance Trender can edit _WrDeviceDetails.inc (line 114) and comment it out, using standard HTML comments.

WhatsUp Gold v11 3rd Party Scrutinizer link

It is simple to create a 3rd party link from Scrutinizer to WhatsUp Gold v11.

In Scrutinizer, set the 3rd party link to WhatsUp Gold as:

http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/NmConsole/Workspace/DeviceStatus/DeviceStatus.asp?
sNetworkAddress=%i&sUsername=YOURUSERNAME&sPassword=YOURPASSWORD

Then just download and run wug-pass-ip.exe on the WhatsUp server. There is no prompt saying it completed, it will just finish running and the functionality will be there.

Note: if you run a WhatsUp Gold service pack, you will need to rerun the executable, as .asp files are rewritten in WUG service packs.
